Got lunch here yesterday as a first time experience with the restaurant. I live nearby so its convenient. Nice looking inside seating area, small but enough. The menu is quite simple which is always a plus since choosing from a gazillion of dishes can be just overwhelming when you dont know exactly what you're looking for. They have lunch specials which is pretty common in Chinese spots and I chose a sesame chicken combo that comes with egg roll and either white or fried rice. The order was done in less than 10 minutes, staff was friendly, and overall the experience wasn't bad.
The food was actually very good. I dont expect much from Chinese spots during lunch time but this food was rather unusual. The sesame chicken was a bit crunchy but soft at the same time, didnt taste doughy at all and had a very pleasant sweet taste to it. The egg roll was spot on, not too cabbagey, soft, full of flavor. Nothing to say about rice. Regular white rice.
I only have 2 minor objections - hence the 4 stars as I believe it's an important factor to consider.
When I asked, during the order, if they could substitute the side of rice for a mix of vegetables of some sort because I didnt want rice, the lady just kept saying no. We couldn't figure out any way to get me veggies instead of rice and instead, I was just pointed to a different item on the menu that was more expensive not what I wanted to get, at all. Additionally, the portions offered are rather small. YES, the quality and taste is there which matters the most, however, the amount of rice was minimal, 4 pieces of broccoli with the meal were a bit little too. Overall, I think this restaurant has a good thing going on. If you're in the SoDo area and feeling like some Asian cuisine, check this place out! For those of you needing a bit more volume during lunch, just order an extra egg roll or something. Great Chinese place! -

Ordered the lunch special (or so I thought) and when I arrived they told me my vegetable stir fry only came at one price - $8.95. Um ok. I paid and left. Stir fry was super bland with hardly any flavoring at all. White rice.
Most Chinese restaurants in the area have a cheaper option for stir fry at lunch that includes a drink or something...soup, egg roll, etc. -

The lunch specials is not worth the $9. The amount is to little bit for that price. I was disappointed and will never go back. It was also tasteless. I should've stuck with Fresh Kitchen which is cheaper and you still have food leftover for a cheaper cost.

I've been coming here for over 10 years and always have a good experience. The owners and staff are so friendly and attentive. Their food is excellent in quality and flavor (chicken is decent size pieces of white meat, not filled with breading or not batter). Highly recommend if you're looking for good clean Asian cuisine.

Overpriced and tiny portions. Spent $5 more than I do for the same order from my usual place, and I open the box to find about 8 pieces of chicken and 20 broccoli. Cool so I paid $25 for a container of broccoli and an order of lo-mein. This is a joke I'll never waste my money on this place again, only reason they get a second star is bc it's tastes okay. More then everywhere else for Tiny portions this place is wack.
